Louise Borden is the founder and CEO of Borden Education Consulting LLC, the parent company of Best Fit Education and Blueprint Enrollment Consulting. Louise leads a team dedicated to supporting both students and institutions through individualized, arts-focused education and enrollment consulting.

Best Fit Education was founded eight years ago with the goal of helping students discover and pursue their academic and creative potential. With more than 30 years of experience as an English as a Second Language (ESL) educator and program coordinator at the primary, secondary, and college levels, Louise has developed a deep understanding of language development and student growth. Best Fit Education allows her to work closely with students—particularly those pursuing performing and visual arts—offering personalized guidance that extends far beyond what’s possible from school-based college counselors.

Blueprint Enrollment Consulting, led by Robert Borden and his team, collaborates with small and niche colleges to strengthen their enrollment management strategies. Blueprint provides data-informed insights, staff training, and customized professional development for arts and specialized institutions seeking to build sustainable, mission-aligned admissions practices.

Louise earned her undergraduate degree in Russian from Vanderbilt University and her M.S. in Education (TESOL) from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. She brings together her lifelong dedication to education, the arts, and global perspectives to create meaningful connections between students, educators, and institutions.

Louise currently lives in Yarmouth, MA, and when she isn’t meeting with students or presenting workshops, Louise enjoys traveling, running, long hikes with her husband, Bob, and spending time with their dogs, Poppy. Their four grown children—all musicians—are spread across the globe from New York to California to New Zealand.
